 Theo (God) Phostic (light) is a ministry of prayer that is Christ centered and God reliant for its direction and outcome. Simply stated, it is encouraging a person to discover and expose what he believes that is a falsehood; and then encouraging him to have an encounter with Jesus Christ through prayer, thus allowing the Lord to reveal His truth to the wounded person's heart and mind. It is not about advice giving, diagnosing problems, or sharing opinions or insight. It is about allowing a person to have a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus in the midst of the person's emotional pain.
The Brain Trainers recognizes the benefits of using Theophostic Prayer with individuals who have or had learning problems. As underlying learning skills are imporved, the lies learned (I'm dumb, no matter how hard I try i will fail etc) may still linger. Although the new experiences of success may, over time, out weigh the old experiences and, as such, may disolve the old lies, TPM is a prayer process through which immediate truth may grant peace beyond understanding.  The Irlen Method has been used for over 25 years to identify and help people with a type of processing problem called Irlen Syndrome, formerly known as Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome (SSS). Irlen Syndrome is not an optical problem. It is a problem with the brain's ability to process visual information. This problem tends to run in families and is not currently identified by other standardized educational or medical tests.
